The Toledo Zoo is looking for help with naming its new twin polar bear cubs.
There are one female cub and one male cub. Name suggestions for each have been provided by zookeepers. The zoo will draw two random prize winners from the winning name entries. Each winner will receive a one-year family membership to the zoo and other gifts.
Voting can be done online at www.toledozoo.org, in person at the zoo, or by mail. An official ballot will be in The Blade. All entries are due May 1, by 11:59 a.m., with winners announced May 3. The cubs will go on exhibit in early May. A media preview to show off the cubs, born Nov. 12, was scheduled for Tuesday but was canceled indefinitely out of respect for the victims of Monday’s deadly bombing at the Boston Marathon.
