Lucas County and the city of Sylvania were among several local governments that received a combined $2,968,671 in grants and loans Tuesday from the Ohio Department of Development.
Lucas County received $45,000 for a feasibility study on a new corrections center and collaborative review of services. Sylvania was awarded $12,000 for a study on sharing directors for economic development.
In all, 26 grants and loans were awarded.
