For adults on the prowl for summer activities, the Toledo Zoo is accepting applications for its volunteer guide and education programs.
The positions, available for adults 18 and over, include exhibit guides, who educate the public on zoo grounds about Zoo animals and monitor visitor traffic. Exhibit guides will be stationed at the new Penguin Beach and Keet Retreat exhibits.
Volunteers can also apply to be zoo educators, or zoo eds, who work on and off zoo grounds to introduce exhibits, welcome visitors, and assist with planning educational activities.
Zoo educators will also be stationed at Penguin Beach and Keet Retreat.
Additional positions are open for clerical volunteers, who prepare mailings, stuff envelopes, organize binders, and enter data.
More information about the volunteer program is available at toledozoo.org/volunteers, or by contacting Bill Davis at 419-385-5721 or online at firstname.lastname@example.org.
