3 die in car-truck crash in Fulton County

DELTA, Ohio — Three young people from the Wauseon area who were riding in a car were pronounced dead after it crashed with a tractor-trailer in Fulton County on Thursday afternoon, according to the Ohio Highway Patrol.

Killed were the car’s driver, Matthew C. Hahn, 28, and passengers, Brandy Beltz, 22, and Brandon McCullough, 16, the patrol said. They were taken to Fulton County Health Center in Wauseon. The crash in Pike Township, just north of Delta and about a mile north of the Ohio Turnpike, was reported about 4:45 p.m.

Mr. Hahn was driving east on County Road L when his car entered the intersection at State Rt. 109 and was struck by a northbound truck driven by Jeffrey E. Neal, 53, of Muncie, Ind. Mr. Neal was not injured, according to the patrol. The road reopened about 8:30 p.m.
