NHC Red: Knights prepare to back it up
Northwest Ohio no longer takes a back seat to the Cleveland area when it comes to state hockey championships.
Toledo-area teams have laid claim to five state titles in the last 10 years.

NHC American: Experience makes Springfield favorite to capture title
Springfield hockey coach Ed Kretz opened the season with optimism.
With plenty of returners coupled with talented additions to the roster, there was reason to think this could be a special season for the Blue Devils, who are the favorites in the three-team Northwest Hockey Conference White Division American Conference.
Springfield and Lake figure as the two teams to wrestle for the White Division title with Fremont Ross trying to find its way into the mix. Ottawa Hills played in the division last season but does not have a team this year. FULL STORY
NHC National: Clay, Perrysburg lead pack
Longtime hockey coach Randy Menchaca was well aware of the talented players that Clay has produced in recent years.
After eight seasons as coach of Bedford, Menchaca takes over the Eagles, who are coming off a strong Northwest Hockey Conference campaign.
“Clay hockey has always been a pretty successful program in my eyes, and it was that allure of talented kids and a successful program in the past, and just looking to see what I could do with the program myself,” Menchaca said. FULL STORY
