4 area breweries join benefit for Red Cross

Four Toledo-area breweries are coordinating the release of beers to benefit the Red Cross after a three-alarm fire last month that destroyed the Wachter Building apartments in Toledo’s UpTown neighborhood.

Black Cloister Brewing Co., Black Frog Brewery, Earnest Brew Works, and Maumee Bay Brewing Co. will each release their own version of a single malt and single hop “Rescue 419” beer. A portion of sales will benefit the American Red Cross of Northwest Ohio’s disaster relief fund.

The beers will be available next Friday.
