A Toledo native who cycled 12,000 miles across the perimeter of the United States will visit several Toledo Lucas County Public Library branches.
Alan Thompson will speak about his bicycle ride that raised more than $32,000 for Habitat for Humanity and Save the Children. Mr. Thompson is also a University of Toledo graduate and retired Sylvania Schools teacher.
Presentations are set for 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. June 27 at Oregon branch, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. June 30 at Holland branch, 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. July 11 at Waterville branch, and 7 to 8:30 p.m. July 23 at Sanger branch.
