WCHA, BG have reason to be proud
The Big Ten Conference’s announcement in the spring of 2011 that it would sponsor men’s ice hockey beginning in the 2013-14 season was the beginning of the end for the Central Collegiate Hockey Association. Losing Michigan, Michigan State, and Ohio State from its ranks was a blow to the CCHA, but as we said, it was only the beginning.
