Oregon promotes Mullen to fire chief
Oregon City Council and Mayor Mike Seferian last week appointed Assistant Fire Chief Paul Mullen to the position of fire chief. Chief Mullen has been performing the chief’s duties since March, when then-chief Ed Ellis retired. His salary will be $91,172.32.

EPA orders bigger cuts in emissions
WASHINGTON — The Environmental Protection Agency will propose a regulation today that will cut carbon-dioxide emissions from existing coal plants by up to 30 percent, compared with 2005 levels, by 2030, according to individuals who have been briefed on the plan.

Findlay man killed in motorcycle crash
