FINDLAY — Hancock County commissioners Thursday appointed Christopher Long as acting county engineer.
Mr. Long, who has been deputy county engineer, will fill out the term of four-term county engineer Steve Wilson, who announced this week that he plans to resign effective Saturday. Mr. Wilson, who is not seeking re-election, said he plans to work as interim Findlay city engineer beginning next week.
The central committee of the Hancock County Republican Party has 45 days to formally appoint Mr. Long to the engineer’s job.
He is the only candidate on the November ballot for the job.
