Shelter served serviceman’s cat while she served country
A local woman and her cat have been happily reunited after three and a half years apart and a desperate scramble that nearly made the separation permanent. Spec. 4 Andrea Jackson, 22, had to leave her cat Olivia behind with her parents in Holland when she was sent by the Army to Fort Hood, Texas, to serve as a military intelligence analyst with the 615th Aviation Support Battalion. She also spent a year in Korea.
