I've lived in Sylvania all of my 54 years, and there are several reasons for this. The city itself is located in a part of the country that enables us to enjoy 4 distinct seasons. The city is well maintained by all of it's public services. Police, Fire, Utilities, and Forestry divisions are all quick to respond to the needs of the community, with well trained, compassionate individuals. The citys administration is staffed with qualified professionals that are good stuards of our tax dollars. The school system is outstanding, with a wide choice of curriculum, sports, and extracurricular programs. There are plenty of recreation programs available for young and old to enjoy. There are several beautiful parks, places or worship, shopping facilities, great restaurants, a very nice senior center, library, Centennial Terrace, I could go on and on, within just a few minutes drive. But the best thing about Sylvania is it's people. They care. They truly take pride in their community. They volunteer, maintain their property, and look out after one another. Sylvania truly is a great place to live and raise a family!
