The University of Toledo women overcame a 13-point halftime deficit to deal Bowling Green its first conference loss, 52-50, on Saturday at Savage Arena.

UT senior Courtney Ingersoll knocked down a 3-pointer with 1:08 remaining for her first points of the game. She followed later with a free throw and played excellent defense against Chrissy Steffen on BG's final offensive possession. Steffen was forced to throw up a one-handed deep shot as time expired.

With the win UT (16-7, 9-3) has now beaten BG in three straight regular seasons for the first time since 1998-2000.

BG (20-4, 10-1) shot just 23 percent from the field in the second half. Steffen, who had 16 points at halftime, finished with 20.

UT center Yolanda Richardson finished with 10 points after going scoreless in the first half.
