BROOKLYN, Mich - Nelson Piquet, Jr., won today's NASCAR Camping World Trucks Series VFW 200 at Michigan International Speedway.

Piquet, driving the AutoTrac Chevrolet, needed only one tank of fuel in the final 86 laps of the 100-lap race, and took over the lead on the 89th lap. Jason White won second and Dakoda Armstrong was third.

The Brazilian is the son of Nelson Piquet, a former Formula One driver. It was his first Truck victory in 42 career starts.

The Pure Michigan 400 starts at 1 p.m. Sunday at MIS.
