NBC: Rohleder carries Knights past Redmen

Otsego 22, Fostoria 7

TONTOGANY — Austin Rohleder rushed for 171 yards on 22 carries and scored three touchdowns Friday night to lead the Knights in a Northern Buckeye Conference game.

Rohleder scored on runs of 3, 32, and 15 yards.

Michael Girona completed the Otsego scoring with a fourth-quarter safety. The Knights completely shut down Fostoria's ground game, holding the Redmen to minus-35 net yards.

Nate Hackworth caught six passes for 51 yards, while quarterback Ryan Smoyer completed 12 of 23 for 111 yards for Otsego (3-2, 2-0).

Deandre Cannon scored in spectacular fashion for the Redmen (0-5, 0-2), returning an interception 102 yards in the second quarter.

Genoa 79, Lake 0

GENOA — Unbeaten Genoa scored three touchdowns on fumble recoveries and another on a punt return in a rout.

The Comets (5-0, 2-0) amassed 387 rushing yards, including 176 from Kyle Nutter. Nutter scored on runs of 23 and 49 yards.

Scoring on fumble recoveries were Quentin Spiess, Cole Beck, and Trever Martin.

Casey Gose scored twice, on a 31-yard punt return and a 20-yard reception from Logan Scott.

Scott added another TD on a 14-yard scamper. David Nutter (23 yards) and Ryan Espinosa (42) added a rushing TDs for the Comets.

Cody Pickard made a 29-yard field goal.

Lake falls to 1-4, 0-2.

Eastwood 68, Elmwood 22

PEMBERVILLE — Isaiah Conkle scored four touchdowns and had eight carries for 153 yards as Eastwood (4-1, 2-0) finished with 551 yards of offense.

Conkle scored on runs of 2 and 1 yards in the first quarter, then had a 90-yard run to open the second quarter. Conkle caught a 52-yard pass from Jake Schmeltz.

Eastwood led 40-6 at halftime

Eastwood had 499 yards of rushing on 35 carries.

Austin Jasso, Austin Isaacs and Zach Foster scored touchdowns for Elmwood (3-2, 1-1).

Jasso led Elmwood with three carries for 65 yards.

Rossford 35, Woodmore 13

ELMORE — Ian Stolar finished with three touchdowns and 196 yards rushing to lead Rossford.

Stolar scored on a 15-yard pass from Ryan Clay, then scored touchdowns on runs of 52 and 8 yards as the Bulldogs took a 21-13 lead at halftime.

Steven Nordhaus had eight catches for 90 yards and a touchdown and Clay finished 14 of 23 passing for 160 yards and three touchdowns. Mark Skala also scored a touchdown for Rossford (3-2, 1-1)

Austin Ottney and Evan Ulinski scored touchdowns for Woodmore (2-3, 0-2). Quarterback Jake Matwiejczyk finished with 26 carries for 120 yards, while Ulinski had five catches for 83 yards.
