TEMPERANCE — Five Mules ran for at least 60 yards, part of a 449-yard performance on the ground that helped Bedford secure a postseason berth.
Brad Boss led Bedford (6-3) with 10 carries for 126 yards and a 69-yard TD. Weston Swick (eight carries, 68 yards) had TD runs of eight and 43 yards. Alec Hullibarger scored on six and seven-yard runs.
Brandon Sunday (three carries, 68 yards) scored on a 54-yard run. Jon Shepherd had eight carries for 58 yards and a TD. Jacob Shackle also scored for Bedford, which led 14-13 in the second quarter before scoring the final 41 points.
Blissfield 20, Ida 8
BLISSFIELD — Kyle Russell got Ida off to a fast start with an 85-yard touchdown run to open the scoring, but after that it was all Blissfield.
Brad Lietzke countered Russell’s TD with a six-yard TD run in the first quarter, while Zech Bostick and Luke Cassaubon added scoring runs in the second half.
The Royals (5-4 overall, 5-2 Lenewee County Athletic Associaton) were led on the ground by Lee Keinath’s 78 yards. Russell finished with 126 yards for Ida (5-4, 3-4).
Whiteford 20,Adrian Madison 6
OTTAWA LAKE— Whiteford used a balanced rushing attack to help win its eighth game of the year.
Brian Tabbert carried nine times for 71 yards and an eight-yard TD run. Tyler Lee carried 14 times for 82 yards and a six-yard TD run, while Colin Lake added 88 yards on 14 carries.
Gabe LaRoy connected with Troy Diller on a 34-yard TD pass. LaRoy finished with 151 yards passing on 10 completions. Diller caught 6 passes for 109 yards for the Bobcats (8-1).
Walter Carter-Thomas scored Adrian Madison’s only TD on a six-yard run.
Summerfield 28, Whitmore Lake 20
Josh Golkiewicz paced Summerfiled (5-4) with 165 yards rushing on 23 carries on the way to the Bulldogs’ fifth victory.
Golkiewicz scored three touchdowns on runs of nine, two, and 10 yards. Lucas Diver added 133 yards on 9-18 passing and a 26-yard TD strike to Steve Schankin.
Dylan St. Charles scored all three TDs for Whitmore Lake with rushing scores from one and 48 yards out and a 20 yard touchdown pass.
