Whitmer beats Mentor, will face Cincinnati Moeller in state title game

MANSFIELD - Top-ranked Whitmer dominated Mentor for a 62-34 victory in a Division I state semifinal on Saturday night at Arlin Field.
Whitmer (14-0) will face Cincinnati Moeller (11-3) for the state title on Saturday. Moeller defeated Colerain 26-21 in the other state semifinal.
Panthers quarterback Nick Holley rushed for two touchdowns and passed for two touchdowns to lead the rout over the Cardinals (12-2). Holley rushed for 249 yards on 27 carries.
