University of Toledo linebacker Dan Molls, the national leader in tackles during the recent season, has accepted an invitation to play in the Texas vs The Nation postseason all-star game.

The game, which will feature more than 100 draft-eligible players, is scheduled for Feb. 2 at Eagle Stadium in Allen, Texas. According to the game’s Web site, more than 100 participants over the past five years have been selected in the NFL draft and more than 500 have signed with an NFL team.

Molls, whose final collegiate game ended last month when he suffered a concussion on the opening kickoff of the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl, posted 166 tackles this season.

"I’m happy Danny gets to play one more college football game and show what he can do as a football player," Toledo coach Matt Campbell said. "His career certainly lends himself the opportunity to play at the next level, and I think this experience will let that happen."

Campbell added senior safety Jermaine Robinson, who has drawn interest from the next level, has not received an invite to a postseason game. Campbell also said juniors David Fluellen and Bernard Reedy, who are entertaining the thought of turning pro, have not yet received feedback from the NFL advisory committee.

Toledo’s pro day is scheduled for March 12.
