BGSU hockey extends win streak to 6 games


BOWLING GREEN -- The Bowling Green State University hockey team claimed a 3-2 win over No. 10 Western Michigan at the Ice Arena today.

With the score tied 2-2 entering the final period, the Falcons' Dajon Mingo poked home a rebound with 5:17 off the clock for the game-winning goal.

The Falcons, who killed off a pair of major penalties in the third period, now have won four in a row and have a six-game unbeaten streak.

BG improved to 8-10-5 and 5-7-3-1 in the Central Collegiate Hockey Association, while the Broncos are now 13-6-4 and 9-4-2-1 in the CCHA.
