Trevor Parkes gave Toledo a 1-0 lead 2:21 into the game before Kalamazoo answered on first-period goals by Nick Sirota and John Armstrong.
After a scoreless second period in which the Walleye outshot the Wings 12-5, Dustin Cloutier's shorthanded goal gave Kalamazoo a 3-1 lead.
The Walleye continue a three-game homestand at 7:05 Saturday against the Bakersfield Condors.
