MUNCIE, Ind. — The University of Toledo men's basketball team put together a 14-3 second-half run to punctuate an 85-78 win Wednesday at Ball State.
Four Rockets scored in double figures as Toledo set a season-high in points. Rian Pearson had 24 points, and Matt Smith knocked down five 3-pointers and finished with 19 points. Reese Holliday matched his season-high with 16 points, and Julius Brown posted his first career double-double with 12 points and 10 assists.
Toledo (8-10, 4-3 Mid-American Conference) took a 15-point lead on a Smith 3 with 3 minutes, 20 seconds to go.
