Penalty-filled game to Toledo Walleye as goalie registers 30 saves in win

Randy Rowe and Travis Novak scored for the Toledo Walleye in a 2-1 win over the Reading Royals tonight in a penalty-filled game at the Huntington Center.

Kent Simpson made 30 saves for the Walleye, but his bid for his second shutout in three games ended when David Vallorani scored for Reading with 15.6 seconds left in regulation.

Former Toledo Storm goalie Drew MacIntyre made 31 saves for the Royals, and stopped two penalty shots in the third period.

Toledo plays at Greenville at 7 p.m. Thursday, the start of a four-game road trip.
