Dortch, Shafir lead Toledo women in blowout win, 75-42, at Western Michigan

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - Andola Dortch scored 15 points and Naama Shafir added 13 as the Toledo women's basketball team defeated Western Michigan 75-42 tonight at University Arena.

With the win, Toledo (25-2, 13-1) clinches at least a share of the Mid-American Conference regular-season championship, the ninth in the program's history. Toledo can win the league title outright with a win in its final two regular-season games.

Toledo took advantage of a scoring drought of nearly nine minutes by the Broncos to build a 17-point lead in the first half, en route to a 44-17 halftime lead.

With six points against the Broncos, senior center Yolanda Richardson eclipsed the 1,000-point mark in her career at Toledo.

Marquisha Harris led Western Michigan (9-18, 5-9) with 11 points.
