The University of Toledo opened the Women's National Invitation Tournament today with a 63-49 win over visiting Butler.
The Rockets (28-3) will host Youngstown State in the second round at 2 p.m. Saturday.
Naama Shafir scored 17 points to lead three Rockets in double figures. Inma Zanoguera and Yolanda Richardson had 16 and 12 points, respectively.
Butler, which was 9 of 21 on 3-pointers, received 18 points from Daress McClung.
