Oct. 19: We’ve found something fabulous in Maumee at Georgette’s Grounds and Gifts — a coffee shop and so much more. FULL STORY

Oct. 12: Black Kite Coffee and Pies offers — of course! — both exceptional coffee and handmade savory pies (meat and vegetarian versions). But there’s also so much more to the menu. FULL STORY

Oct. 5: You’ll want to have a finger in every pie at The Cinnamon Stick. While they offer smoothies, ice cream treats, cookies, and even new breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus, pie is the star of the show. FULL STORY

Sept. 28: We were able to get an entire lunch plate at El Tipico Restaurant. And not just some cheap fast food, but rather wholesome dishes prepared with love from family recipes. FULL STORY

Sept. 21: C is for cookie — just ask that renowned expert, Cookie Monster. And if you want to find some of the best cookies in the area at a great price, just head to The Cookie Jar in Bowling Green. FULL STORY

Sept. 14: Tucked away in Sylvania is a small cafe run by a mother-daughter dynamic duo: Earth to Oven Bakery. It offers both friendly service and exceptional baked goods. FULL STORY

Sept. 7: On the edge of The Town Center at Levis Commons in Perrysburg is a bright, spacious coffee shop: The Flying Joe. Top notch coffees, from drips to pour overs to cold brews, all come in under budget but taste much more expensive, and it offers an array of goodies, too. FULL STORY

Aug. 31: Who needs to run to a typical fast food restaurant when the deli counter at Just Like Home Mediterranean Market will serve heartier, more wholesome food fast? Hummus with fresh pita bread, fattoush, and the kafta burger shine, but one of the best values might just be the pita sandwiches. FULL STORY

Aug. 24: Michael’s Café and Bakery is a lunchtime favorite for those of us who work downtown. Friendly service and wholesome foods — from soups to salads to sandwiches — are always on the menu. And you can satisfy your sweet tooth with lots of budget-friendly goodies. FULL STORY

Aug. 17: Pisanello’s Pizza has been voted the best pizza in Wood County for more than 20 years in a row. So we knew it was a good pizza; but did you know it’s also a good deal, too? FULL STORY

Aug. 10: What’s better than a beer an’ a dog at a Mud Hens game? Why, a beer an’ a dog combined, of course! The Sudsie Wiener, available at Fifth Third Field’s Suds and Wieners for a mere $5, is a cheddar-filled bratwurst topped with beer-braised onions and sauerkraut

Aug. 3: All Crumbs Artisan Bakery is famous for its beautiful breads (such as Uptown Funk Sourdough), crisp-crusted bagels, and hand-crafted pastries, but the star of the bakery’s show is the cheese danish.

July 27: On a muggy, summery day, bubble tea at Balance Pan-Asian Grille is the perfect refreshment.
